Shelving

Just a quick update as I promised my cousin I would upload some pictures of my shelving for her as she helped with the planning for them

So, Louise…this is what they look like…

I’m really pleased how they turned out actually. I screwed them into the joists so they would be much sturdier than my previous shelves, which were screwed into plasterboard.

The room isn’t quite finished yet; I still need to get pictures sorted out, framed and hung on my wall. The room is a bit of a tip at the moment because we’re currently moving everything back in but the free-standing unit has been moved about, printer is back in the room, books are partially in – I need some book ends to stop them all falling over – and it did free up some desk space as I’ve put my mac on the shelf next to the mac monitor too!

Blogging, I’m hoping will be resumed soon. I’m still pretty busy with the room change and the editing job – which is coming on nicely. I’ve also been doing more planning on my novel and I think will be cracking on with more writing once the editing job is done.

Quite glad I don’t have GTA IV actually or I’d not get anything done!

Ramsay’s *expletive* Renovation

Of all the redecorations I’ve done in my time, this has been the most frustrating. We’re not completely finished, there’s still shelving to put up, pictures to hang, DVDs and books to move back in etc but as Gordan Ramsay (with similar amounts of swearing during the ordeal) may summarise: Paint. Check. Paint again. Buy new paint. Paint more. Furniture; move. Organise. Bedroom re-decoration; DONE!

I think it looks good, but then I would. The lighting isn’t very good in the above pictures which means you can’t really see the shade of green so I think I’ll grab some more for you when the sunlight is lighting the room, as opposed to my pathetic little spotlight things.

I’ll be glad once the shelving is up on the walls and my books etc are all back in the
room. At the moment it’s still pretty empty but needs tidying to get rid of the things I don’t need.

It’s been a long day so I’ll leave it like that for now. Oh and if anyone wants to suggest a picture of Kate Beckinsale to order a print of, I think I’ll put it up on my wall!
