If you read this blog regularly you may remember this post about the Shaman I was levelling.
She’s level 80 now and got her 4 piece Tier 9 bonus now so she’s in a good position, gear wise. I was lucky enough to get the Battered Hilt in Forge of Souls and decided to do the questline (which was fantastic) so she’s got the yummy mace from there.
This is merely an update to say she’s been added to the WoW Persona page now.

If not, a quick recap goes like this… Every time I level a character on World of Warcraft I always say “Gosh, I’m never doing that again.” which is exactly what I do, then end up saying “Never doing that again.” and thinking “Didn’t I say that last time?”. I said it after my Druid, my Paladin and then my Warlock…who’s only just got to level 80.

The character pictured right is called Stormtide and she’s my new Shaman. Yes, I know! Firstly, she is a she because I cannot stand the male Draenei model and Alliance can’t have any other class as a Shaman. I had been told by Blue on a number of occasions to try a Shaman. I think I’ve had about 8 in the past who have never got further than level 23. At the lower levels I hated the Shaman but Blue maintained that they got more fun after level 40, then really good at level 60.
I figured, after the 8, that Shamans just weren’t for me. Until about four days after writing the above post. I was doing the daily heroic dungeon on ‘paws and found it incredibly dull. He’s really well geared as he’s my end-game raid healer so healing heroics is really easy for him. I thought about levelling a Priest but I think I’m going to leave that til after Cataclysm as I’ll make him a Horde…maybe. It was then when Blue said…Shaman. Again. I thought about it and thought I’d try and push through that horrible section up to level 40. I farmed some heroics and bought the two maces in prep for level 40′s dual wield and started levelling. She’s currently level 54 and I’m getting ready to make the push to Outland.
I have to say, I am enjoying it. Blue was right, after level 40ish they do become much easier to level and I’m really looking forward to getting my spirit wolves at level 60. At level 80 she’ll be Restoration and I’m not sure what I’m going to do about gear for her. I’m not going to gear her anywhere near what Paws is so I think I’ll keep her as my heroic healer. Keep things fun.
NOTE: She doesn’t look as pictured, but she will do at level 80 and I like the set. But hair and everything else is accurate.
